15 minute portrait sketch

Last Tuesday at the Backfence Society, model Emily Metalskin did the most elaborate life drawing performance I’ve ever drawn. Taking inspiration from Oscar Wilde’s Salome, the recreated the film’s scenes and characters through a series of quick costume and set changes. The severed head pose especially was so unique!

All drawings are chocolate Derwent drawing pencil on newsprint.
