Hosting Fantasy Figure Sketch at Artists 25 has been amazing… except for the low attendance. Boo. Convincing people to leave the house in this COVID world is so much harder than before.
The model Etienne Buxton was brilliant as a space wizard. He exceeded my expectations and really fleshed out the theme. I couldn’t believe just how much space wizard appropriate props and costuming he already had.

One thing that Etienne does that I really enjoy is he will said out loud what he is imagining going on in his pose. He wrapped a cord around his forearm and said, ‘imagine I’m fighting a cyber octopus creature’. I couldn’t remember what an octopus looked like from memory, so I ended up with this.
