Dancer Leigh Kidwell reached out to me about a portrait I drew of her last August. She loved the drawing so much she wanted to own it herself! We worked out a creative exchange where, as payment for the drawing, she would pose for me in a private gesture session.

I gave Leigh the theme of ‘backstage’, and from there she created dozens of dynamic poses telling the story of a dancer preparing for a performance.

Leigh’s inspiration brings out some of my strongest work. I look forward to our future creative collaborations!
