Toons On Tap

Toons On Tap was an open, uninstructed life drawing event created with the animator in mind. Launched in February 2012, Toons ran bi-weekly for six years primarily at Toronto bars Round venue and The Rhino. Co-founded by myself and Jeremy Cardarelli, we ran Toons with photographer Jeffrey Danyleyko with the goal of creating the kind of life drawing event we wanted to attend ourselves.

For myself, the highlights of running Toons were working with a smorgasbord of talented models and seeing the beautiful artwork the audience created.

In addition to our regular schedule, we also organized private drawing events and uninstructed drawing classes for local studios. We provided private life drawing for XMG, Jam Filled Entertainment, Yowza!, and Big Viking Games.

Other special event highlights include the TAAFI Iron Pencil fundraiser, our gallery showing at The Comic Book Lounge, and our collaborations with Studio Technique.
